Home Is Where The Hunt Is – A Halloween Quilt

Today is Halloween. My favorite holiday! As the day drew near, I realized that I had never made a Halloween quilt. That was something that had to change. I signed up for a class at Bernina Las Cruces. This was to insure that I finish my project before the horrid day. I was not able to attend all four classes only missing one. But I finished it. Well at least the top and bottom. Only having the quilting  and binding still to do. It was meant to be a wall hanging but I am going to put it on my table. The pattern for this is by Kimberbell, it is called “Home is Where the Hunt is”. Most of the fabric that I used is by Basic Grey from their Eerie collection. I just love it! I had so much fun envoking my creativity to make a few changes such as the Candy Corn block, The Mummy, and added the black cat. It will look great with all of my scary decor.

I think I need to make more things from Kimberbell, like the “Home Sweet Home” Bench Pillow… Super cute. I think I have a new crush.

I hope you like it.

WhooHoo! The top is done.
Hello Spidy!
My favorite fabric from the Basic Grey collection called Eerie.
I used the machine to sew the words. That was a first.
I changed the mummy. I wanted him to be scary.
I changed the block to a Candy Corn.
