Shhhhh… I have a confession to make. I have been buying up white on white fabrics. One yard here, two yards there, three yards with a coupon. I will HAVE to buy them at some point so why not buy them when I have a few extra bucks in my pocket. Instead of that “impulse buy” of random fabric or even a random tool that I don’t need. In the past I have always bought my white on white (background fabric) after the big purchase of the main fabric. After I am pinching pennies and only wanting to sew. But lately, I have been taking my time, buying only the designs that I actually like. My goal is to get a good mixture of these whites to create depth in my quilts background. Some might call it hoarding. I call it a good housekeeping.
